Arthritis of the hip or knee? Orthopedic Surgeon Sage to host lecture March 9

NORTHAMPTON – Orthopedic surgeon Daniel Sage, MD, will present Arthritis of the Hip and Knee: Understanding Trends in Treatment on Wednesday, March 9, at 6 pm in the Dakin Conference Room at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

In this free community lecture, Sage will help demystify today’s varying recommendations around joint replacement surgery and injection treatments. Attendees will gain insights on several topics of current interest and debate, including direct anterior approach to the hip, metal-on-metal implants, and more.

Sage is medical director of the Cooley Dickinson Joint Replacement Center and a surgeon at Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in West Hatfield.

He earned his Doctorate of Medicine at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency and adult reconstruction fellowship at Indiana University.
