After overseeing all retail responsibilities for the Cooley Dickinson Hospital Gift Shop for more than 30 years, Charonne Masters, the shop manager, retired earlier this month. Susan Netto, a former Gift Shop volunteer, has taken over the reigns as manager and looks forward to working with the staff and volunteers, and meeting members of the public.
“I hope to fill Charonne’s shoes and keep the standards of the Gift Shop high,” says Netto, who has worked in retail and customer service positions at Yankee Candle, Kringle Candle, and Talbots.
Netto’s goals for the Gift Shop include encouraging Cooley Dickinson employees and the public to visit the shop. She is also planning to expand some of the existing product lines that will boost the Gift Shop’s profitability for the hospital and Friends of Cooley Dickinson. Proceeds from Gift Shop sales benefit the Friends of Cooley Dickinson.
Gift Shop hours are Monday, 9 am – 4 pm; Tuesday through Friday, 9 am – 7 pm, and Saturday, noon – 3 pm. The shop is closed Sunday.
