Biography

Drawing on personal experience and education-focused training, Dr. Adrian Daul has committed his career to improve healthcare providers’ competency in caring for transgender patients. He has been an invited lecturer locally and nationally with audiences ranging from medical students to physicians and emergency clinicians to obstetricians. He co-chaired the AAMC Advisory Committee on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Sex Development, Learning Environment Committee – this committee collaboratively developed a webinar and teaching tools to accompany AAMC’s landmark publication to improve medical school curriculum called Implementing Curricular and Institutional Climate Changes to Improve Health Care for Individuals Who Are LGBT, Gender Nonconforming, or Born with DSD.  He authored a chapter in Diversity and Inclusion in Quality Patient Care: Your Story/Our Story – A Case-Based Compendium, published in August 2018. He co-authored “Transgender and Gender-Nonconforming Patients in the Emergency Department: What Physicians Know, Think and Do” published in 2018 in The Annals of Emergency Medicine.

Outside of medicine, he balances his deep love of cooking and food with frequent visits to the YCMA and chasing after his three young children.
