Dennis has 20 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics. He specializes in sports medicine, running analysis, spinal care, concussions, vertigo, and vestibular rehab. Presently he is training local high school athletes and coaches in the Warm-up for Injury Prevention and Performance (WIPP), a program created by the Cincinnati Sports Medicine Institute and designed to prevent ACL injuries.

My Philosophy
As a past and present athlete, runner, and “weekend warrior,” Dennis has experienced many injuries himself and understands the rehabilitation process at both the professional and personal levels. He is passionate about educating patients on proper human movement so they have the skills to successfully navigate their conditions and prevent future injuries.
Biography
Dennis Mathewson has worked in the Cooley Dickinson Rehabilitation Services’ Hadley clinic since 2010, and currently serves as the location’s Team Leader. He developed a comprehensive Concussion Program at the Hadley clinic and has presented at the 2016 American College of Sports Medicine Conference with the University of Massachusetts Sports Medicine staff. Dennis currently resides in Belchertown with his wife, two children, and two cats. He plays indoor soccer, runs local 5Ks, and enjoys back country skiing in the Rockies. He has recently section-hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail in Virginia and North Carolina.
