Mary has been treating patients in outpatient settings for 24 years. Her areas of special interest include the treatment of acute and subacute musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, post-surgical patient care of joint replacements and sports-incurred injuries, spinal rehabilitation, women’s health and osteoporosis, gait and balance impairments. She is especially interested in the care of geriatric patients.

My Philosophy
Mary is a very committed and caring therapist who provides patients with the appropriate individualized assessment and treatment to address their specific goals. Her goal is to enable them to more fully utilize their bodies to participate in activities of interest to them.
Biography
Mary Scanlon-Flynn has worked in Cooley Dickinson Rehabilitation’s Hadley/Amherst clinic for more than 19 years. She has particularly enjoyed working with the diverse patient population, which includes local residents and students, staff and faculty from our college communities. Mary currently resides in Northampton with her husband, dog, and cat. She can be found playing her fiddle, frequently attending music and fine arts events, taking long walks, and visiting her granddaughter in New York City.
