36th Annual Golf FORE Health Tournament

Access to a strong community hospital is critical for the health of you and your loved ones. Today, the need for support for Cooley Dickinson Hospital, your community hospital, is greater than ever, and so many businesses have reached out asking how to help us care for our patients and our community.

One way you can help your local hospital is by showing support through event sponsorship. The 36th Annual Golf FORE Health Tournament, being held on September 15th, 2025 is Cooley Dickinson’s only major fundraising event, and this year’s tournament proceeds will fund an exciting project: the campaign for the Cooley Dickinson Hospital Emergency Department. With your support, Cooley Dickinson Hospital can design a new, future-oriented ED that centers on caring for you, your loved ones, and our community.

The Impact of Your Support

Transforming Emergency Care: Campaign for the Cooley Dickinson Emergency Department

This year’s tournament proceeds will fund the much-needed campaign for the Cooley Dickinson Hospital Emergency Department. Your support will allow Cooley Dickinson Hospital to expand the ED to meet current and future needs so that they continue to provide you, your loved ones and our community with the highest level of care.

Cooley Dickinson’s Emergency Department is 40% undersized to meet the community’s needs and cares for many patients who require critical medical attention. The number of patients visiting the department has grown from 17,000 annually in the 1970s to nearly 34,000 in recent years. For those patients, Emergency Department teams treat approximately 300 traumatic injuries per year; last year alone over 6,000 patients needed to be admitted for further care.

The current Emergency Depar tment was not designed to face the challenges of the 21st century; it does not have the space to care for this many patients or to provide the specialized care our community needs. With your support, Cooley Dickinson Hospital can design a new, future-oriented ED that centers on caring for you, your loved ones, and our community.
